Who are you helping?

According to studies by the Reference Center for Pediatric Cardiology for the Republic of Croatia (for which the aforementioned equipment is intended to be purchased), located in the Pediatric Clinic of the Zagreb University Hospital, there are currently over 10,000 children with heart disease in Croatia, and at least 500 more are born each year.

The beneficiaries are born with complex congenital heart defects, which in the vast majority of cases end up with palliative procedures (surgery) in Croatia and abroad (Germany and Austria).

UNBORN CHILDREN

Thanks to the fetal ultrasound device, the target group is also unborn children, who can be diagnosed with possible malformations while still in the mother's womb using this device and prepared for future treatment of the child after birth

An important group of users who receive important information and psychological support through the association.

Why do we need money?

Health is the greatest wealth a person can possess, and our Association deals with children whose health is seriously impaired by severe heart problems.

We, the parents involved in the Association, cannot imagine life without our children, but also their illnesses. Our humanitarian work is not only about continuously improving the health of our children, but we also want to influence the well-being of other children. We are thinking of children who are about to be born or who have already been born – as heart patients.

Therefore, our campaign “Big Heart for a Small Heart” is aimed at raising funds to purchase medical devices that would greatly help in diagnosing severe heart diseases in children, before and after birth.

A team of pediatric cardiologists, as well as surgeons and intensive care physicians, work every day to diagnose and correct children's heart defects. However, despite the good experts, without the proper tools to work with, the effect of all their efforts is reduced.
